H&K are a Multinational manufacturing and distribution company with operations in North and South America, Europe, Australia and Asia. FD Systems have been working in close partnership with their European Head Office in Dublin since 1987.

Not only have H&K rolled out the entire Orion ERP Suite to all worldwide locations, we have also worked with them in developing a number of tailor made applications and modules, many of which are now included in the standard software package.

Scenario: H&K wanted to develop an on-line internet ordering system to enable their customers to order products via the web. This system had to interface with their existing backend systems and have a short implementation time.

Challenge: having put this system out to tender H&K realised that there were a lot of e-commerce solution vendors in the marketplace, many with suitable online-shopping applications. H&K had several specific concerns however, firstly, whether any of these would be able to integrate with their existing ERP software and secondly, the hidden costs and long implementation times they were likely to incur

Solution: FD Systems designed, supplied and implemented its Orion Online ordering solution within a short timeframe, at a much lower cost than market leaders, seamlessly integrating it with the backend system in H&K.
